The Speedmaster Surf is a mid-priced, rapide action, long-range surfcasting rod that combines a high-quality carbon blank with quality fittings and powerful casting performance.The Speedmaster Surf sits in the middle of the Shimano rod range and offers a variety of model options to suit your exact preferences. All rods have a powerful, long-distance casting action, and offer a fantastic combination of high performance, choice and value. Designed with an extra rapide tip action, this range of aesthetically pleasing rods allows you to increase power when you need more distance, while retaining the sensitivity needed to make small fish bite when using light line.Speedmaster casting power is generated by the use of high modulus full carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower blank. Sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips fitted on all models except the 425T, which has a stronger hollow tip. You can't help but be impressed by this superb blue blank, which is fitted with Fuji Fazlite type K stainless steel rings or Fuji Lowrider rings, depending on the model chosen. They are corrosion-resistant, lightweight and reduce friction with the line. If you're using braid, you'll be pleased to know that all rings are also suitable for braid. To fit the larger reels of surfcasting, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits perfectly into the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your lower hand when casting.Available in two lengths (4.25 m and 4.50 m), with casting weights ranging from 120 g ( Beach model) to 200 g and with two different ring options, the Speedmaster Surf is the ideal rod for smaller species, where you need casting power combined with sensitivity.
