Shelter Road is a transparent, impact- and scratch-resistant adhesive tape. It provides reliable protection for carbon fiber or metal structures to which it is applied. "Road" is perfect for light off-road riding or gravel/cyclocross use. Shelter Road consists of a 0.2 mm scratch-resistant top layer and a 0.4 mm viscoelastic, rubbery backing. This unique composite construction allows the Shelter to distribute impact energy within its structure, without transmitting it. Shelter is transparent but will not yellow over time, thanks to its UV protection. It even protects the underlying frame paint from UV degradation. IMPORTANT: After removing the Shelter, there may be color differences between protected and unprotected areas, especially with fluorescent or brightly colored paints.
