Cobra Fly-Z+ is the flagship in Cobra’s 2015 series – and you can feel it.
This is a 460cc driver in titanium and carbon, designed for golfers who want full control over ball flight and to maximize efficiency from the tee. Especially ideal for players with a low handicap and good swing speed – but still forgiving enough that more golfers can get in on it.
At the heart of the driver is FlipZone technology with a 15-gram movable weight system. It gives you the ability to significantly change the center of gravity:
Weight forward: Lower spin, flatter and more penetrating ball flight, plus extra roll
Weight back: Higher launch, more carry and significantly increased stability on off-center strikes
So you get two different “drivers” in one – depending on how you want to play the course.
The combination of E9 Face Tech and the Speed Channel around the face delivers high ball speed over a larger area of face. The result is an explosive feel at impact and more consistent distance – even when you don’t strike it dead center.
The sound is a muted, solid “whap” rather than the metallic ring many older drivers had. It feels powerful and controlled.
The head is moderately sized and almost round in shape with medium face depth. It sits nicely behind the ball and gives a confident look on the tee.
The loft can be adjusted in 8 settings, so you can fine-tune launch and ball flight to your swing.
