To remove your inner tube, the tools you'll need are:
Remove the old inner tube using a tyre lever.
How to change an inner tube
Follow our step-by-step video.Pre-pump to prevent punctures, insert the valve, put the inner tube inside the tyre, and check that it is properly centred in the rim.
Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube:
Before installing an inner tube, always carry out a complete check of the tyre.
Pro advice:
Tyre pressure must be adjusted before each outing to avoid punctures caused by pinching.
Choosing an inner tube:
To take proper care of your bike, it's important to know the exact dimensions of your tyres. This info appears on the sidewall of the tyre (diameter and section). For example, 27.5 x 2.10 mean that the tyre is 27.5 inches in diameter and 2.10 inches wide.
On the tyre sidewall you will also find the dimensions in mm in ETRTO international units.
For example, 50-584 means a tyre that is 50 mm wide and has an inner diameter of 584 mm (approx. 27.5 x 2.00).
