One specific design feature
The architecture of the handle on this case is special: it is perpendicular to the length of the lid. We decided on this design to make it easier to unhook the case when it is fixed to a wall or clipped inside one of our Solognac modular safes. If the handle were the other way round, handling it would be less straightforward and less intuitive: the handle could be “broken”.
Focus on the waterproofness of this case
The proper storage of ammunition is essential to make sure that it does not deteriorate over time. That is why we have included an orange silicone seal in this case. It is uncovered when the lid is opened. Thanks to this seal, the case remains watertight. It complies with the IPX4 standard, which means that the case can withstand projections and splashes of water from all sides. However, the case is not designed to be immersed in water.
Focus on opening and closing the case
Most ammunition storage cases have an opening/closing system that you pull on. But this tends to lift the case. With this model, you push the clip: this is more natural and also compresses the interior seal.
Box features
Dimensions and weight of the box: 32 cm x 18.75 cm x 14.3 cm/780 g.
Wall mount dimensions and weight (included): 14 cm x 9.55 cm x 1.8 cm/75 g.
Volume: 5.1 L.
Capacity (examples): up to 5 boxes of 25 in 12/70, or 4 boxes of 25 in 12/76, or 6 boxes of 20 308 WIN bullets.
The case can be padlocked using 2 holes (8 mm diameter). The case is compatible with most padlocks on the market.
Polypropylene body and handle cover: this makes the case very shock-resistant.
How do I attach this case?
The design of this case means it can be clipped inside our Solognac modular safes (references 8678330/8757194/8757195).
This case can also be wall-mounted. It
comes with a wall bracket (included in the case): the arrow points to the top of the bracket. Then attach it with 4 screws and you are done.
Notches on the lid: what for?
There are 4 notches on the top of the case, shown by 4 arrows. This allows the cases to be stacked on top of one another: the “feet” of the cases fit into these notches. This is handy if you have several cases and want to save storage space!
