Cheburashka rig
Remove the Cheburashka snap from the sinker.
Pass the eye of your Texan hook through the Cheburashka snap.
Re-insert the Cheburashka snap into the slot in the sinker until the loop securing the line is correctly positioned.
Attach your leader with the traditional No.1 snap to the loop of the Cheburashka snap.
Attach your soft lure to the Texan hook as you normally would.
Freedom of movement and versatility
Freedom of swimming motion of the lure:
The joint between the sinker and the hook allows the lure to move in a much more natural and ample way. It undulates and shifts at the slightest stimulus, perfectly imitating prey in difficulty.
Versatility:
The ability to quickly and independently change the sinker weight and hook size or shape offers unparalleled adaptability.
Efficiency on the bottom and reduced snagging
Effectiveness on the bottom:
As the name bottom jig suggests, this rig is ideal for bottom bouncing. The lure presents itself very attractively during pauses, sometimes standing vertically on the bottom.
Fewer snags:
Combined with a Texan hook, the Cheburashka rig is a real all-rounder, considerably reducing the risk of snagging in obstacles.
Better swallowing:
The joint makes it easier for the fish to suck up the lure.
Cheburashka jig movements
Linear:
Simple continuous retrieval interspersed with pauses.
Bottom bouncing:
The lure is made to bounce along the bottom with short tugs from the tip.
Sink and draw motion
The lure is pulled upwards with wide strokes before dropping back down with the line outstretched so that you can feel the bites on the way down.
