The MAXXIS Shorty 29x2.40WT Double Down (DD) 2-Ply Tubeless Ready folding tire is versatile, performing equally well on dry, mixed, or muddy terrain. Robust and with a larger volume than the Wet Scream, the MAXXIS Shorty features wide, slightly offset side knobs that provide excellent stability in corners, even at high speeds. The tread pattern, with its widely spaced knobs, ensures efficient evacuation of stones and mud while guaranteeing powerful braking thanks to its square shape. It also features the MaxxGrip triple compound rubber blend, which provides the optimal combination of rebound and grip for high-level performance. This high-end version is designed for the most demanding competitors, featuring a double-ply casing reinforced by a butyl insert, guaranteeing maximum robustness and puncture resistance worthy of a downhill tire, but with a significantly lower weight. Furthermore, it should be noted that the structure has been optimized for mounting on a 35mm internal width rim.
