Reliable protection
The Alp Trainer 2 is a modern high-ankle hiking boot with an upper made of extremely durable, high-quality suede and elastic material. The lining made of a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane provides effective protection in changing weather conditions. The upper is finished with a rubber edge that protects the foot from stones and roots and when overcoming rocky debris.
Individualized comfort
The model is designed to offer full comfort from the first time you put it on. The perfect, precise fit to the foot is achieved by integrating the proven 3F System developed by SALEWA, whose thin steel cables stabilize the ankle and improve lateral stability, and the Flex Collar, which allows the ankle joint to work naturally when descending in steep terrain. In addition, the included Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) consists of several interchangeable layers that allow the space inside the shoe to be modified and thus even better adapted to the shape and width of the foot. Alp Trainer 2 is also equipped with an extended lacing system, which allows for precise adjustment to the foot from the toe area, and therefore greater precision of the step on technical sections.
Better grip and traction
Developed exclusively for SALEWA, the improved Vibram® Alpine Hiking sole guarantees grip and control in diverse mountain terrain, in bad weather and on very muddy ground thanks to special zones supporting traction and braking and densely spaced aggressive blocks.
