The Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is a mid-range, fast-action, long-range surf rod that combines a high-quality carbon blank with quality components and powerful casting performance.Combining the convenience of telescopic construction with a powerful, long-range casting action, the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic sits in the middle of the Shimano Tele surf range and offers a fantastic combination of high performance and value.Designed with an extra rapide tip action, this aesthetically pleasing range of rods allows you to increase power when you need more distance, while retaining the sensitivity needed to get small fish biting when using light line. The Speedmaster's casting power is generated by the use of full high modulus carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. This combination generates a remarkable top speed, which you'll certainly notice when casting weights towards the upper limit of the casting range or when facing strong winds.This superb blue blank is fitted with Fuji Fazlite K-type stainless steel rings which are corrosion-resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you're using braid, you'll be pleased to know that the Fazlite ring coatings are also braid-safe. To accommodate larger reels from surfcasting, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits perfectly into the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your lower hand when casting.Available in three options (4.30m - 170g, 4.50m -- 170g, 4.50m - 200g), the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is the ideal rod for smaller species where you need casting power combined with sensitivity.
