Mavic Ceramic: a premium material, premium performance
With these specific properties, ceramic provides bearings that are a bit faster and more durable. Alongside this material, we use a premium low-density grease and low-friction seals.
Adaptive Layup: Strong in some areas, light everywhere else
Carbon is lighter than aluminium, but grams do add up.
By using the right number of fibres in the less stressed areas of the rim to reduce weight without compromising reliability, this results in livelier wheels that are more enjoyable on climbs. Up to -70g per rim.
FORE: More stiffness and a watertight system for Tubeless.
The upper bridge of the rim is threaded to allow spokes to be installed directly at the correct angle. This creates a rigid connection, reducing spoke movement (less breakage), and a 100% watertight upper bridge for easy Tubeless installation.
