Product Description
This super strong double-sided tape has been specially developed for installing our sports flooring on all types of subfloors. Additionally, the tape is suitable for securing carpet, rubber mats, rubber tiles, doormats with rubber backing, etc.
The tape has a synthetic rubber adhesive layer and can be torn by hand. Due to the strong adhesive force, it adheres well to the underlying floor. The tape also has excellent tensile and shear strength.
Installation
Place the mat/tile on a flat surface with the underside facing upwards. Apply tape along all 4 edges.
Apply 2 pieces of tape diagonally from one corner to the other. For larger pieces of rubber longer than 2 meters, naturally make multiple crosses next to each other to prevent bulging and sliding.
Place the mat in the desired position with the underside facing down and fold back one side so that the tape is visible again.
Remove the protective layer from the tape on the folded-back side and stick it to the subfloor. Repeat this with the other side.
For optimal adhesion: apply pressure to the mat by walking over it. The mat is now firmly attached and ready for use.
N.B. Always ensure a clean, dry, and grease-free surface to ensure the tape adheres well. If the floor contains loose particles (often the case with concrete floors), treat it first with a suitable primer.
Storage advice
Store the tape in a dry and clean place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Under these conditions, unused tape would have a guaranteed shelf life of 12 months.
