The Squadra Stretch shell provides wind protection when you're out on a cool day or tackling a long descent. Its stretchy panels give it a snug fit and eliminate fabrics that could flutter in the wind. It's a modern version of the windproof shell jacket, the kind you keep in your pocket for long runs or throw on for the first hour until the weather warms up. This jacket used to be very simple: it was a nylon shell that lacked elasticity and therefore had to be cut to fit all body types, both on and off the bike. We completely redesigned the shell jacket and how it is constructed. We added panels on the sides and sleeves made of high-stretch fabric with tight knit fabric, which allows us to give it a modern, close fit to gain aerodynamics on all terrains. It also retains more warmth than a jacket that floats in the wind and stays very compact so it can be stored in a minimum of space in a jersey pocket. Its stretchy panels have a water-repellent treatment that protects against light fog, but be warned, it's not a real rain jacket.
