The CONTEC Abbey MIPS helmet, named after the famous Abbey Road street in London, demonstrates that safety and style can go hand in hand. With Abbey MIPS, you can be assured of safe travels in road traffic. This urban helmet is made from a combination of lightweight molded plastic micro-shells and a thin EPS inner shell, and is also equipped with the MIPS system. What is MIPS? The MIPS technology allows the helmet shell to move relative to the head in the event of an oblique impact, protecting your brain from rotational forces and serious injuries. At the back of the helmet is a safety LED light that makes you more visible to other road users at dusk. The integrated light is rechargeable via a USB port. The maximum lighting duration is 165 minutes. The reflective straps of the Abbey MIPS are another feature that enhances visibility. Thanks to the padded Fidlock magnetic closure, the helmet can be opened and closed with one hand, without the risk of pinching. The integrated TriVider, an extra-wide strap separator, ensures high comfort and individual adjustment. Speaking of adjustment: thanks to the XY Sizer (adjustment knob) at the back of the helmet, the Abbey MIPS can be individually adjusted in height and width. The refreshing padding inside the helmet has an anti-sweat effect and is washable and replaceable.
