The MAXXIS MINION DHR II DH tire is designed specifically for downhill riding and intensive use in bike parks. It is known for its excellent grip, cornering stability, and braking efficiency, thanks in particular to its more aggressive tread pattern compared to the DHF.

WT (Wide Trail): Designed to optimize the tire's profile and performance when mounted on modern, wider rims (30-35 mm internal width), ensuring better support for the side knobs.

Wire Bead:

This construction uses a wire bead, making the tire less expensive but also heavier and more difficult to fold/carry than a folding tire. It is often the standard for entry-level bike park/DH tires or those intended for very intensive and stable use.

60 x 2 TPI (Threads Per Inch):

Indicates a double-ply casing, typical of downhill tires. This means the casing thread has a density of 60 threads per inch, and this construction is doubled, offering extreme resistance to pinch flats and cuts, as well as high stiffness for stability at high speeds and in hard corners.

Tubeless Ready (TR):

The tire is designed to be mounted without an inner tube (using sealant and rim tape) to improve grip, reduce the risk of pinch flats, and decrease rolling weight.

DH (Downhill) / Bike Park:

This designation is for Maxxis' strongest casing, ensuring it can withstand the shocks and abuse typical of downhill tracks and bike park jumps.
