The high-strength Schoeller® nylon upper features lateral reinforcements and rubber and TPU inserts for additional protection against rocks and scree, and is complemented by the patented 3F SALEWA® system reinforced with Kevlar cables. For extra weather protection, the GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort membrane provides comfort and protection against the elements in changing conditions, including heavy rain and deep snow. Underfoot, the high-performance Pomoca ™ Alpine Dynamic outsole ensures secure grip and traction on rock, snow, and ice, as well as good compatibility with crampons. With a precision climbing zone, S-Path guiding for lasting walking comfort, and a special rubber compound for optimized grip and traction on snow and ice. Inside, the dual-density EVA midsole offers good cushioning on flat and steep terrains. Additionally, the customizable Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) features interchangeable thicknesses that allow you to fine-tune the fit volume. During long days in the mountains with extended descents, localized shock absorption areas reduce stress on the knees and ankles. And the Ankle Protector System (APS) does exactly what its name suggests: the thermoformed heel provides additional lateral support for the ankle, especially during descents.
