→ After more than two years of development, the KHE MAC3 tyre is now ready for the market. Our aim was to offer one of the most durable and lightweight 2.40" BMX street/park tyres available.

BMX tyres usually have a single-ply carcass onto which the tread is then vulcanised. However, as extremely high forces are at play, particularly when riding street, and many riders use tyre pressures in excess of 6 bar, we have opted for a double-ply carcass to ensure optimum stability.

Instead of the cotton threads used in most BMX tyres, the MAC3 is manufactured using Kevlar threads. Kevlar is considerably stronger and lighter than cotton. Thanks to the double casing, we also have double the number of Kevlar threads. As Kevlar does not absorb rubber (which is the case with cotton), the MAC3 remains one of the lightest 2.40-inch tyres on the BMX market, despite its double casing.
