Mode 2 is specifically designed for fishing with braid. Mode 3 is for fishing with fluorocarbon. Mode 4 offers maximum control (the highest magnetic braking) for applications like skipping. Once set, the onboard microcomputer, which powers itself by generating its own electricity, takes care of everything, leaving you to aim and cast.
