Designed for riding throughout the resort and earning an A+ in the carving category, the K2 Almanac snowboard writes a new chapter in the history of Volume Shift™ snowboards. Specifically designed for everyday use, this snowboard draws inspiration from models like the Party Platter and the Excavator, while carving out its own path. When choosing the Almanac, you'll need to go down about 5 cm in size, as its outline is wider than average (read: Volume Shift™). So, if you usually ride a 158 cm snowboard, you'll want to choose a 153 cm model to hit your favorite runs at the resort. When it comes to technology, the Almanac doesn't skimp. The camber underfoot and raised contact points at the front and rear make this snowboard comfortable throughout the resort: it offers enough responsiveness to give you energy in turns and a smooth feel during edge-to-edge transitions. From bottom to top, we started with a hard, fast 4000 sintered base, a lively core made of bamboo, aspen, and poplar, a bi-axial fiberglass weave, and our carbon spine from tip to tail that lets you pop ollies over speed bumps. The Almanac also features a set of additional inserts for the front binding, allowing you to move your bindings back and enjoy a little more float on deep-snow days. The real deal.
