Design and Comfort
The Petzl ASTRO INT harness combines a semi-rigid construction of the belt and thighs with padded 3D foam and breathable linings for prolonged comfort during suspension. The shoulder straps are widely spaced to reduce friction at the neck, and sliding straps ensure great freedom of movement.
Progression and Safety System
Equipped with an integrated CROLL L descender and an openable ventral point, the ASTRO allows for direct installation of a descender, progress lanyard, or PODIUM/LITEPOD seat for efficient ascents and descents. The harness features certified ventral, sternal, dorsal, and foldable side points for working at height.
Adjustment and Ergonomics
FAST buckles facilitate putting on and taking off, while DOUBLEBACK buckles ensure durable adjustment without slipping. The thighs have replaceable elastic bands that maintain fit during walking or suspension, and the metal side points fold to prevent snagging.
Storage and Equipment Compatibility
Designed for long workdays, the harness includes 7 pre-shaped gear loops, two CARITOOL/INTERFAST locations, two TOOLBAG slots, and holders for ASAP'SORBER. It is compatible with PODIUM, LITEPOD, PROGRESS ADJUST, and ASAP LOCK accessories.
Fall Indicator and Standards
A dorsal fall indicator (red strap) appears in case of a fall to signal harness removal. The model is certified according to numerous international standards (ANSI, NFPA, CSA, CE EN 361/358/813/12841 type B, GB 6095, among others).
