Optimized for peloton riding, the MET Trenta MIPS is a road helmet built for performance and designed to keep your head cool and conserve your energy with every pedal stroke.Using the MIPS-C2® rational impact management system, the MET Trenta MIPS is able to slide relative to the head in the event of an impact, redirecting harmful rotational forces. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to the traditional helmet construction against certain types of impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS.Originally developed by NACA, the precursor to NASA, the placement of this vent on the top of the helmet allows for optimal ventilation. Using the power of the Venturi effect, the wind pushes the hot air inside the helmet out through the specially designed exhaust ports. This ensures a constant airflow within the helmet without creating turbulence or drag, guaranteeing maximum comfort during the longest road or gravel rides.Optimized for peloton riding, the tube-shaped tail and internal ventilation channels ensure the MET Trenta delivers optimal performance in a group, offering up to a 7% reduction in drag compared to a traditional road helmet.
