The Cristallo Warm Training Shirt by Salewa is a warm, short-sleeved merino wool shirt designed for intense winter mountain adventures. Named after the impressive Monte Cristallo mountain, located in the Dolomites, northeast of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Alpine Merino Responsive fabric is composed of 78% merino wool and 22% polyamide. It instantly wicks sweat away from the skin and dries just as quickly. The synthetic fibers are enriched with Responsive technology, a blend of thermoreactive minerals. Responsive converts body-generated far infrared (FIR) energy and then slowly returns it to muscle tissue, allowing the body to maintain thermal comfort for longer, increasing endurance, and accelerating recovery. Because the technology is an integral part of the fabric, it won't wash out. A special weaving process encases a nylon core in superfine (19 micrometers) merino wool. The resulting fabric is not only stronger and fluffier, but also 30% lighter than other fabrics used in base layers. Its high polyamide content further enhances its durability and elasticity. The Cristallo features a fitted, athletic cut with a round neckline and ergonomically cut sleeves for maximum freedom of movement without irritating seams.
