The lenses used in Discovery binoculars are coated with effective multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. Wide eyecups and large eyepiece lens diameters make every observation a pleasure. The Discovery 16x50 binoculars offer high magnification, significantly exceeding the magnification of the basic Discovery 10x50 model, although they have a relatively narrow field of view. They are particularly recommended for daytime observations of distant terrestrial targets. They can be successfully used for observing aircraft at cruising altitudes. For astronomical observations, they are better suited for bright objects, such as the Moon.
