EPT Coating
The EPT anti-rust coating ### Technology
(EPT) from KMC protects chains against corrosion for twice as long as conventional rust protection, setting a new standard. Each component of every chain link is treated separately with EPT. This means a 100% coating that offers the lowest possible attack by water, salt, and air humidity.
Another characteristic of EPT: The very smooth surface gives chains excellent running qualities. Dirt buildup is minimised in the long term, which means that chain maintenance is significantly relieved.

Road Bikes: KMC rmmends caring for your KMC Waxed at the latest after 250 km or at least once a month.

MTB, cross and frequent riders in all weather conditions: After 100 km at the latest.
Rewaxing

The chain must be dry before applying the wax

The chain does not need to be dewaxed

Shake the bottle and apply to the inside of the chain (One complete turn)

Do not wipe off excess wax.

Allow to dry completely before riding, especially in wet conditions
