6003 LLU MAX BO - Black-Oxide, MAX-Design, ABEC-3, radial suspension bearing - - 17mm x 35mm x 10mm - Enduro Bearings was a pioneer of MAX-type bearings over 20 years ago for bikes to meet the challenges of mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings offer 35-40% more load capacity compared to standard radial bearings thanks to a special design that allows for the maximum number of balls to be inserted into the bearing, via a specially ground slot in the rings. The additional balls, combined with deep grooves in these bearings, provide better lateral support for the twisting and multidirectional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep groove design rings, quality 10 balls, and double-lipped seals, full contact labyrinth (LLU) for maximum protection against the elements, while maintaining a 90% fill of high-pressure Almagard grease inside, and the Black-Oxide/Magnetite coating provides an extra level of corrosion resistance and hassle-free performance. This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by several bike brands. The Enduro bearing range is available in high carbon chrome steel, stainless steel 440C, hybrid ceramic, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless steel balls. Our bearings are always designed with deep groove rings to accommodate the largest balls and feature double-lipped seals that travel in a micro-groove creating a complete labyrinth for superior protection against the elements.
