Low energy impact: Frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball weighing 0.86Â g fired at 45 m/s (or 162 km/h). These lenses are marked "F".
Other categories in the CE standard
Medium energy impact: Similar to previous tests, with speed of 120 m/s (or 432 km/h). "B" marking.
High energy impact: Again similar to previous tests, with speed of 190 m/s (or 684 km/h). These glasses are marked "A"
Temperature set at 23°C during testing.
