New style:
We've adjusted all of our sizings to keep horses more comfortable. The rug comes higher up the neck and is fitted so that it won't slip down. We've made it roomier on the shoulders and shaped it to snugly fit the back and relieve tension on the withers. The crossover chest fastening and its gusset give the horse more freedom when walking and lowering its head.
The COMBO system:
With our new COMBO system, you can pair this stable rug with our COMBO all-weather waterproof rug. There are 4 fasteners on the rug and removable surcingles so that you can easily switch from a comfortable stable rug to a warm, waterproof, equally comfortable turnout rug. You can also use each of the COMBO system rugs on its own.
Comfort for your horse:
Our rugs have been designed to keep your horse as comfortable as possible. The sheepskin neck and withers pad make the rug more comfortable and protect the base of the neck from rubbing. The 400 g/m² wadding is perfect for protecting your clipped horse from very cold weather. Our stable rugs are water repellent to protect them from urine and dampness in the stable.
How to adjust this rug
It's important to pick the right size of rug. If it's too big, it could slide around, but if it's too small, the horse could tear it. To stop the rug slipping down, make sure that you tighten the chest straps properly. The cross surcingles should be neither too tight, which would be uncomfortable, nor too loose, which could cause your horse to get its hind limbs tangled up.
Care advice:
Rugs should be regularly cleaned. When left for long periods of time, dried urine and manure can damage the rug. A dirty rug can cause skin irritation. Before removing the rug, remove any dust using a brush. All Fouganza rugs are machine washable at 30°C (without fabric conditioner).
