    Working on the same principle as animal fur or plumage, the inside of these brushed fabric pants is able to trap air and use it as insulation. This keeps your body warm. Thermal comfort is tested and validated at temperatures down to -10°C.

    How is thermal comfort measured?

    The thermal resistance test shows the loss of heat between the body and the outside, indicating the product’s insulating properties. It is carried out on a thermal mannequin, measuring the conservation of body heat.

    Why prevent snow from getting in?

    Keeping snow out of hiking trousers guarantees comfort and protection against the damp and cooling of the legs. With their semi-elasticated waist and ankles, these trousers hinder snow, guaranteeing you an enjoyable experience.

    How waterproof are they?

    These trousers have a water-repellent coating. In the event of light rain or in wet conditions, water slides off the surface without penetrating. Your legs stay dry and you can hike comfortably.

    How to restore the water-repellent properties?

    To maintain effectiveness, we recommend regularly re-applying the water-repellent treatment, preferably after each wash. For continuous protection, view our specially-designed accessory products (in spray or liquid form) in our shops or on our website.

    We recommend you avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could cause deterioration in the garment’s thermal insulation.

    We carry out 2 types of thermal testing: - trouser fabric test, - test on thermal dummy in thermal chamber, We reproduce the conditions of temperature, wind (5 km/h) and humidity that you’ll typically encounter on a mountain walk at 5 km/h. These tests allow us to validate our design choices and we then adapt the thermal insulation where you need it most.
