    What are the benefits of the mini trampoline handlebar?

    This handlebar is to a trampoline what stabilisers are to a bike! It lets youngsters figure out how their body will move in the air. It improves their stability and self-confidence. The little extra? The bar is easy to install and remove so that kids can bounce without it when they feel ready to move on.

    What is happening with children's psychomotor skills in the first 4 years?

    Physiotherapist and osteopath Agathe Bernard-Zelzt explains that, before the age of 4, children must first learn to propel their bodies in a given direction, then gradually refine this skill by moving their feet side by side, and finally learn dynamic balance. Trampolines can therefore help with psychomotor development because they allow children to practise their motor skills (body schema, dynamic coordination, balance, temporal and spatial structuring, etc.).

    How do the mini trampoline and its handlebar help psychomotor development?

    When jumping on a trampoline, children must use their dynamic balance and dynamic coordination. By using the handlebar to help them, they have to get their whole body working as one, controlling both their landing (balance) and their push-off (dynamic balance). These actions help to refine the body schema via proprioception.

    Does the handlebar keep the mini trampoline stable?

    Yes, the offset legs and feet, along with the angled bar, make the frame safer. However, the handlebar should only be used in strict compliance with the user guide for the Decathlon mini trampoline (ref. 8753805). For example, you must not hang off the bar, as this could cause the trampoline to tip. It is essential that this trampoline is always used under adult supervision and that the bar is not removed before the child is ready.
