For a punching bag to have the best possible spring back, it is important to inflate it. Inflate your boxing equipment until you feel a softness to the touch and to the pressure of your hands. Over-inflating the bag is pointless, as is using a compressor which risks breaking the membrane. Remember to protect your hands by hitting with hand wraps, mittens or boxing gloves around your hands, to avoid burns and other injuries.
