Flex (rigidity of the boot), adjustable from 80 to 70.
Using a key, switch from the “Stiffer” position (flex of 80, more rigid and therefore more precise) to the “Softer” position (flex of 70, more flexible and therefore more forgiving). This is the ideal boot for progressing or adding variation to your sessions, depending on your current form.
Weight distribution.
Higher than on a classic boot, the shell provides excellent shin support and very good weight distribution. The "wave" side construction of the boot reduces deformation and improves weight transfer, thanks to its better rigidity.
Thermoformable liners.
For adapting to your body shape, some parts of foam are thermoformable: They can be reworked to marry your ankle and to limit the feeling of discomfort. To be sure you are wearing thermoforming, ski with at least 2 days.
Hook adjustment.
The 500 ski boot comes with 4 micrometric aluminium hooks, whose length can be adjusted for even more precise tightening. The top hook has 3 positions to fit all calf sizes. A wide, adjustable strap at the top of the upper allows one final adjustment.
What is the flex?
The flex is an indicator of rigidity: the higher its value, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 60 to 70 is considered for beginners, a flex of 70 to 100 for intermediate skiers, and beyond, the product is for advanced skiers. Heavy builds can, however, go up a level.
How do you know if the boot you are trying on is the right size?
Put on the boots, close the hooks to the mid-adjustment setting and perform three flexes by pressing on the shins, hands on the knees, to push the heel back. When standing upright, your toes brush against the edge of the shell. When flexing, your foot moves backwards and your toes are no longer in contact.
Is it possible to thermoform your liner at home?

What is “Mondopoint” sizing?
The size of a ski boot doesn’t translate the same way as for normal shoes: we refer to “Mondopoint” sizing. This is the measurement used by almost all equipment suppliers, which simply corresponds to the size of your feet in centimetres.
What should you do if you experience foot pain?
Choose a technical ski sock that’s thin so it prevents pressure points and promotes blood circulation in the foot. Choose a sole adapted to the shape of your foot to prevent it from being squashed and bumping against the shell. Ask a salesperson in store for advice.
How to store your ski boots?
1 - Ventilate your boots by removing the liner.
2 - Fasten the hooks at the first notch to prevent the boots from becoming deformed and, if possible, store them in a boot bag.
3 - Store in a cool, dry place.
