    What calibres are compatible with this chamber flag? (part 1 of 2)

    All calibres 6 mm and above. It is not suitable for guns with a lower calibre. Why? This was a design choice: we have deliberately excluded smaller calibres to ensure that the product is sufficiently rigid and durable.

    How do I use the empty chamber indicator?

    Slide the rod into the chamber of your gun. It will go all the way into the barrel. Don’t worry, the plastic material will not damage or scratch your barrel.

    Why use this type of product?

    For your own safety and for the protection of others! It indicates at a glance that your gun is not immediately operable and that no ammunition is loaded. During inactive phases of a hunt, this contributes to overall safety. At Solognac, we believe that putting an empty chamber flag on your gun should be a reflex for all hunters!

    A specific design (part 1 of 2)

    The development of this product was based on an observation: we tend to lose our chamber flags during activities like driven hunts. And that’s normal! Most models on the market are designed to be static, i.e. placed horizontally. So we came up with a new system, or more precisely a new shape, which “pinches” the chamber to hold it in place by itself.

    A specific design (part 2 of 2)

    The angle of the rod is specifically designed. It was extensively tested to reach this version. In particular, it allows for:
    -easier insertion into the breech
    -creating a slight deformation (and therefore enough clamping force to hold it in place, but not too much, as this would cause the plastic to lose its elasticity, weakening the pinching effect over time)

    The product’s little extra

    You will notice there is a small hole in the flag. Why? To attach a cord. In fact, by attaching the chamber indicator to a string (itself attached to your belt, for example), the flag can very quickly be removed from the breech if an animal comes along during a hunt and you no longer need to secure the gun. You throw it away but don’t lose it because it’s attached to a belt loop!
