What is the level of protection of these ear defenders?
Noise reduction rating 30 dB.
This value (Single Number Rating) provides information about the protective effect of hearing protection products. These ear defenders with an SNR of 30 reduce the noise level to which you are exposed by up to 30 decibels.
H=35 dB, M=28 dB, L=19 dB
How do I position these ear defenders correctly on my kid’s head?
1/ Separate the cups (note that they are smaller than on adult defenders to better adapt to kid’s morphology). Place the ear cups on the ears so that the cushions cover them completely.
2/ Adjust the height of the ear cups up or down to ensure a stable and comfortable fit.
Storage advice
Make sure the headset is dry and clean before storing in the original packaging, protected from light, UV and heat (temperature range -10°-55°C). Maximum humidity of the storage room: 85%.
Storage period of 5 years from the date of manufacture (noted on the product or packaging). Make sure that during storage, the fastener is not stretched and the sealing pads are not compressed.
What are “passive” headsets?
This accessory acts as a mechanical barrier against noise. The materials used help to block sounds across various ranges of frequency. In short, it protects your ears against high noise levels, but the downside is that you are less in interaction with your environment (unlike so-called “active” headsets): the headset will reduce voices and other sounds by the same amount.
How can I check that the ear defenders fit properly?
When the ear defenders are correctly fitted on your kid’s head, your voice should sound hollow and the ambient noise should be reduced. For optimal protection, the cushions (or sealing pads) should be fitted on the ears and not be obstructed by any other devices. The ear cups should completely cover the ears.
Life of the headset
It is valid for 5 years from the date of manufacture. We therefore recommend that you replace the sealing pads regularly to extend the life of the headset. Remember not to use the headset after the expiry date or immediately if it is damaged or can no longer be cleaned.
The main features of these passive noise-cancelling defenders
This model complies with European standard EN 352-1:2020. It weighs 185 g and protects against noise levels up to a maximum of 115 dB. The cushioned headband with soft foam can be folded, while the highly flexible ear cups ensure a watertight seal and comfortable wear. It adjusts in height, and its shell offers optimum geometry for pressure-free protection of the outer ear. Finally, the headset can be folded: practical for storage!
