Water-repellent coating
This scope features a patented water-repellent coating that repels water and dirt from the optical surfaces. When applied to the outer surface of the lenses, this microscopic coating causes raindrops and moisture to form compact droplets that roll off the surface. Lenses featuring this “MeoDrop” technology are easy to wipe clean and stay clean for longer.
Special abrasion-resistant coating
This model also features a silicon coating (using “Meoshield” technology), applied via ionisation to protect the outer surface of the lenses from scratches and abrasion, even under the most demanding conditions.
SFP reticle
The reticle is used for precise aiming. It is located either in the first focal plane (FFP) or in the second focal plane (SFP). On this MeoHunter R5 3-15x50 model, it is located in the second focal plane: this means that the size of the reticle does not change as you zoom.
Please note: the reticle's red dot switches off automatically after 2 hours.
Other things you need to know
The scope body is made of aluminium. It is watertight when submerged. It offers 11 brightness levels, with the option to switch it off between each level to save battery power. The turrets are resettable to zero and feature numbered markings for easier reading. These are locking turrets: pull out to click.
