With the Qi irons, TaylorMade presents its new integrated system design — a technological advancement that aims to optimise each iron head. The advantage of our system lies in its capacity to facilitate communication between key technologies throughout the engineering process. The face design, the Speed Pocket feature, and the weight distribution are all closely linked, collectively influencing the ball speed and launch angles.

The advantage of the FLTD centre of gravity (CG) is an easier launch with long irons and better control with short irons. Given that long irons are generally harder to get lift-off with, we strategically position the CG lower, in order to promote easier starting conditions. The CG progressively rises for short irons, which promotes control, the launch, effects, the trajectory, and precision.

To improve the sound and sensations, the Qi 2024 irons feature redesigned HYBRAR Echo shock absorbers on the 5- and 9-irons. Designed individually for each iron, these shock absorbers incorporate ribbed structures which are strategically positioned behind the face. Each iron face is aligned with the shock absorber, effectively reducing unwanted vibrations.
