Performance and braking feel

The SLX M7100 integrates a redesigned master cylinder and SERVO WAVE technology that reduces engagement time and increases braking power. The return of the lever reach adjustment allows precise tuning of lever travel to match riding style.

Design and compatibility

The 2-piston caliper retains the proven design of previous generations, ensuring compatibility with G02S/J02A (resin) and G04S/J04C (metal) pads. The 2-piston version is optimised for XC and all-mountain use.

Build and stiffness

The system is claimed to be 10% stiffer than the M8000 model, offering better thermal stability and a more consistent braking feel even under demanding conditions.
