Wool is a living material that adapts to your body temperature. In warm temperatures, moisture and body heat are absorbed by the wool and carried away from the body. In colder temperatures, heat is retained by the millions of microscopic air pockets naturally found in wool. Even when it is wet (absorbs 30% of its weight in moisture) the wool will keep you warm. A nice side effect is that the wool is naturally odor-resistant.
