The Ksyrium has always represented the best in aluminium wheel technology. After the respected Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro, the brand new Ksyrium SL takes it up a notch. It’s the perfect versatile wheel for those looking for reliable everyday performance on the road.
This new wheel is lightweight (100 g less than the previous Ksyrium Elite despite its wider rim) and more durable than ever thanks to our patented ISM4D technology. This manufacturing process removes excess material between each spoke hole while maintaining sufficient rim wall thickness where tension and stress on the spokes are highest. These rims are made in France, at our aluminium rim factory. The double-butted spokes further reduce the weight while making the wheel more responsive. These spokes also have a patented elliptical shape that saves 5 watts for greater efficiency.
Stiffness is optimized thanks to Fore technology. The top bridge is not drilled, thus remaining solid and stiff, eliminating the need for a rim tape (an additional saving of 30g per rim). The new rim bed shape makes it easier than ever to mount and dismount tyres, and our UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip while reducing the risk of punctures. Our new Infinity hub platform optimizes stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, while the Instant Drive 360 freehub combined with our automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) offers quick engagement and great durability. It is available for Shimano cassettes and can be converted for Campagnolo or SRAM XD-Road with optional driver bodies.
