The Silva 3NL is a traditional allround base plate compass designed for basic outdoor activities and compass hiking. Its rotatable compass housing makes it compatible with the Silva 1-2-3 navigation system, helping you set and follow a direction while navigating outdoors.
The anti-static liquid-filled capsule supports clear reading, fast settling, stable needle movement and accurate navigation. A stable, easy-to-read needle works together with red and black north-south lines in the capsule base to make alignment clear and straightforward.
Map work and slope measurement
The transparent base plate includes 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 map scales for route planning and navigation. A magnifying lens supports precision map work, while stencil holes at the front can be used for start and control markings.
The built-in clinometer can be used to measure the inclination of slopes. The curved rear edge of the base plate provides an easier grip when handling the compass and working with a map.
