Compass 5 is a full-sized base plate compass developed for experienced navigators, outdoor enthusiasts and rescue workers. Used by NATO forces around the world, it is designed for challenging trips, rough terrain and situations that require advanced navigation tools.
Its GPS functionality and declination adjustment support accurate route planning. The compass is compatible with the Silva 1-2-3 navigation system, while the rotatable compass housing helps the user follow a clear and structured navigation process.
Detailed map reading
The compass includes several map measuring scales for detailed route planning and map work. A magnifying lens supports close map reading, while the declination scale inside the capsule helps account for magnetic declination.
Patented red and black North/South lines make orientation easier and provide a clear visual reference when aligning the compass with the map.
Designed for practical use
The rubber bezel makes the compass housing easier to rotate in wet conditions. Friction feet help keep the compass still on the map, while the detachable lanyard provides added safety during use.
Navigation in low-light conditions
Luminous markings make the compass suitable for night navigation. Once activated by daylight or a flashlight, the markings provide up to four hours of illumination.
