Especially at the junior level, shoulder pads make a difference when body-to-body contact, boards play, and extensive ice time all come into play. The D3O 4 material used here originated in the smartphone industry and is used exclusively by CCM in ice hockey. This creates a protective design that doesn’t feel rigid but reacts only under stress. This promotes a more flexible fit without compromising protection. For parents and young players looking for a performance-oriented model within the JR category, this version is a clear choice.

To ensure proper protection, the JR size M should be selected so that the shoulder pads fit snugly against the body and do not shift during movement.
