How to Measure the Correct Seat Post Size
Seat posts are sized by the inside diameter of your bike’s seat tube, not by the saddle or the old post length.
To find the correct size, remove your current seat post and measure the diameter of the post itself using calipers (best) or a ruler. The measurement will be in millimetres (for example: 27.2mm, 30.9mm, 31.6mm).
If you do not have the old post, measure the inside of the seat tube directly, or check the size often stamped on the old post near the bottom. Even a difference of 0.2mm matters, so please do not guess — a post that is too small will slip, and one that is too large will not fit.
Please see the diagram in the gallery for confirmation of instructions
• Do not measure the outside of the frame tube — it must be the inside diameter.
• If between sizes, always go by the exact measured size, not the closest guess.
• Length (e.g. 300mm, 350mm) affects riding position, not fit in the frame — diameter is what determines whether it fits.
