Designed for electric mobility, the need for safety is greater than with traditional bike helmets. Speeds are higher and impacts more severe. With a larger protective surface than standard bike helmets, the Virgo Access full face helmet meets the demands of electric bike and scooter journeys. Its modern design combines safety, lightness, and comfort. Vents provide optimized airflow throughout the head, and its monocoque structure ensures a solid connection between the chin guard and the helmet top, allowing shock absorption across the helmet while protecting the chin, jaw, and lower face.
This helmet complies with European regulations EN1078 and Speedbike standard NTA-7887, outlining requirements and testing methods for helmets used for head protection while cycling in urban areas, as well as for rollerblading, scootering, and skateboarding. The Speedelec standard allows protection for speeds of up to 45 km/h.
Why choose a full face helmet? Bike helmets are designed to meet contradictory needs: protect while remaining as light as possible to not hinder the cyclist's efforts. They have always posed a constraint on effort. By adding facial protection while maintaining a lightweight design, we offer greater protection to the lower face. Keeping a chin guard on the face in case of impact prevents injuries from the helmet shifting back and leaving the face exposed during a crash.
For maximum protection, the helmet must fit snugly against the head, and the adjustment system should always be correctly set, without being too tight at the forehead. When straps are well adjusted, the helmet should not tilt forward, backward, or sideways. The cyclist can choose from three sizes. Measure your head circumference above the ears to determine your helmet size. If between two sizes, choose the larger one. It is crucial to select a helmet of the correct size and fit properly. For children, never purchase a helmet too large on the assumption that they will grow into it.
Helmets should be replaced every 5 years. Depending on use and maintenance conditions, the shock-absorbent material inside the helmet may age and lose some of its absorbing properties compared to a new helmet. To find the age of your helmet, check the production date inside the helmet. Ensure the product is suitable for you. If not, return it according to our return policy with all instructions, tags, and original packaging if applicable. Do not apply paint, detergents, or other chemicals. Do not expose your helmet to temperatures exceeding 50°C or direct sunlight for long periods. For maintenance, clean only with water, do not use detergents.
