Spinning rods Shimano Vengeance standup spiral 5'5" 50lb

Product Description

Designed for trolling tuna in the Mediterranean, the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral is a very affordable rod featuring a unique spiral-ring setup that dramatically improves action under extreme pressure.Don't let the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral's affordable price fool you. It may be our entry-level rod, but it has all the power of its much more expensive brothers in the Shimano range. These unique rods have been designed by Mediterranean tuna experts to provide you with an affordable trolling solution. They are designed with spiral rings that wrap around the rod and allow the line to follow the fighting curve. When bent when fighting, the line is held away from the blank by the rings, producing a better action, with minimal lateral twist, allowing you to apply maximum pressure. With a nom like Vengeance, you know this blank will be up to any challenge it faces. And it has to be, because nothing in the Mediterranean fights with the combined power, speed and determination of an angry tuna. Equipped with heavy-duty Shimano Hardlite rings, which can overcome the pressure of mono and thinner braided lines, a Shimano aluminium reel seat will hold the largest multiplier reel securely, allowing you to press the handle with confidence. Despite their undeniable solidity, both models in the Vengeance range maintain excellent fishing behaviour under extreme pressure, and in tests they compared very favourably with much more expensive rods. Available in 50lb and 80lb categories, the solid one-piece design retains extra flexibility, even when pushed to the extreme. While many recreational tuna anglers use inferior rods supplied by the charter boats they fish on, the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral is affordable enough to allow you to own your own specialist trolling rod.
