Intended use The Petzl Rad Line 6mm (60m) cord is designed for skiers and glacier operations: crevasse rescue, rappel, and roping for crossing crevasse areas. Its ultra-light design facilitates handling during rescue operations.

Construction and materials The rope combines a core and a reinforced HMPE, polyester, and nylon sheath for an optimal balance of lightness, strength, and compatibility with specific ascenders and pulleys. The rough sheath enhances friction and maneuverability.

Technical performance With a diameter of 6mm, a weight of 22g/m, and a static elongation of less than 2%, the Rad Line provides precise and secure response during braking and fall arrest with low elongation.

Compatibility and maneuverability The sheath is designed to be compatible with TIBLOC, MICRO TRAXION, and NANO TRAXION, allowing easy integration into progression and rescue systems. Its flexibility and rough surface facilitate braking and control during rappels.
