This ensures that your basketball hoop is more stable when filled with sand. However, it will be less easy to move. Compared to sand, water has some disadvantages: it can freeze in the winter and cause damage to the base, or it could slowly leak out through a small crack. Our advice: fill the base with sand for maximum stability and safety.
