The skandika Tipi Comanche 400 Protect is a modern take on the traditional Native American tipi and a spacious alternative to standard tent designs, adding that extra touch of real camping atmosphere. The generous height and cosy, round tipi shape create a very special living space.
Modern tipi
The skandika Comanche stands out with its vertical side walls running all the way around. They provide extra comfort and let you use the entire floor area with ease. Built into these walls are several half-round windows near the ground, which can also be darkened when needed.
Sewn-in groundsheet
The tipi has a fully sewn-in groundsheet, giving the interior extra protection from draughts, moisture and dirt. The mosquito net at the large entrance also keeps insects out.
Stable and weatherproof
The central pole carries the main load and the two linked angled poles over the entrance add extra stability to the structure. Combined with a 3,000 mm hydrostatic head, this makes the tipi reliably weatherproof.
Good ventilation
Alongside the large entrance with mosquito net, the top of the tipi is fitted with weather-protected ventilation openings. These ensure pleasant air circulation inside and help to reduce heat build-up.
Easy pitching
The robust steel poles provide excellent stability and make set-up quick and straightforward. Even campers with little experience can pitch the skandika Tipi Comanche without any trouble.
Practical extras
The Tipi Comanche comes with plenty of practical extras such as organiser pockets and a cable opening. Guy lines, pegs, a carry bag, a repair kit and clear pitching instructions are all included.
