The Pitea Van Protect is a clever drive-away awning for minivans, campervans and panel vans with a side sliding door. A practical connection tunnel attaches directly to your vehicle and creates a proper extra living area, turning your van into a comfortable, weatherproof base in just a few minutes. When you want to leave the pitch, the Pitea Van Protect can also stand completely on its own and be used as a full freestanding tent.
Quick connection to your vehicle
The connection tunnel links the awning directly to the side sliding door of your van. The guy lines attach to the vehicle without any tools, so you can hook up or disconnect quickly whenever you arrive or head out for the day.
Freestanding and flexible
The awning stays securely in place even when the vehicle drives away for day trips. Simply release the tunnel and close the separate door in the connector, and you’re left with a fully enclosed, freestanding tent waiting for your return.
Recycled outer fabric
The outer tent is made from 100% recycled polyester and finished with a completely PFAS-free coating – gentle on skin and ideal for relaxed camping with family and friends.
Waterproof in all weathers
With a 5,000 mm waterproof rating and carefully taped seams, the Pitea Van Protect keeps the interior dry even during prolonged rain. The robust fibreglass poles give the structure reliable stability when the wind picks up.
UV protection for long-lasting use
A UV protection factor of UPF 50+ shields the fabric from strong sunlight, helping to prevent it from becoming brittle or cracked. The tent stays in good condition for longer and doesn’t heat up as quickly on hot days.
Four entrances for optimal ventilation
All four entrances are double doors with an additional layer of mosquito mesh. You can open them in different combinations to keep fresh air flowing and maintain a pleasant temperature inside the tent.
Sun canopy included
With the two supplied steel poles, any entrance can be turned into a practical sun canopy. Ideal for creating extra shade and a sheltered outdoor seating area right beside your van.
Bright interior
Two generous PVC windows with blinds let plenty of daylight into the living space. When you’d like more privacy, or at night, simply close the blinds to darken the interior.
Effective airflow
Two roof vents help to keep the air moving, even when the doors are closed. They can be opened and closed from inside using zips, so you can easily adjust the ventilation to suit the weather.
Fully sewn-in groundsheet
The integrated PE groundsheet provides reliable protection against damp, cold and crawling insects. All entrances are fitted with mosquito mesh for calm, insect-free nights.
Lightweight and compact to transport
At just 12.7 kg and with a compact pack size, the awning is easy to store in the vehicle and convenient to carry. Thanks to the straightforward pitching system, it can be set up in only a few minutes when you reach your pitch.
