The skandika Kalmar is a compact 6‑person tunnel tent with that little something extra. A large panoramic roof stretching over the entire living area, combined with a fast, easy pitch, makes this tent a real favourite – even with camping beginners.
Flexible use of the cabins
Two sleeping cabins for up to three people each are positioned on opposite sides of the living area for more privacy. Smaller families and groups who only need one cabin for sleeping can use the second as extra storage space for bags and gear – ideal for keeping the main area tidy and uncluttered.
Great protection and ventilation
Each cabin has a sewn‑in groundsheet and mosquito mesh at the top of the doors to keep insects and creepy‑crawlies out. The rear walls are also partly made from mesh. This supports healthy airflow and helps maintain a pleasant climate inside the sleeping areas.
Entrance doors that provide shade
Two doors, one at the front and one at the back, give easy access to the living area. With the two included steel poles, either door can be set up as a sun canopy, providing shade and improved ventilation on warm days.
Bright, welcoming living area
Two large windows let plenty of light into the tent even when the doors are closed and have weatherproof blackout covers on the outside. Made from clear foil with extra mesh panels at the top, they work together with the two mesh windows behind the cabins to keep fresh air circulating.
Uninterrupted view of the stars
The absolute highlight is the unique panoramic roof extending across the whole living area. The roof is made from transparent foil, giving you an amazing view of the sky. Bright and airy during the day, and at night you can lie back and gaze at the stars – it almost feels like sleeping outdoors under the open sky.
Practical sun cover for the roof
A clever, weatherproof roof cover is included and can be pulled over the tent to shade the panoramic roof on particularly sunny days. It can be fitted in seconds and securely attached using the integrated hooks.

All fibreglass poles are the same length, so pitching the tent is straightforward and you don’t waste time sorting poles. A matching groundsheet for the living area is included; it hooks into the corners and is pegged down to prevent it from slipping.

Organizer pockets in the sleeping cabins keep small essentials safe and close to hand, and a practical ceiling hook in the living area offers a spot to hang a camping lamp. When the trip is over, the sturdy carry bag makes transport and clean, dust‑free storage of this clever tent nice and simple.
