On this BBCrew special edition, the cast iron is enamelled. This hard-wearing protective layer offers very good non-stick properties and also helps prevent rust – clear advantages both during cooking and when it comes to care and maintenance.
Even heat distribution
The pot has particularly thick walls and therefore excellent heat retention. A consistent base thickness helps to prevent the contents from cooking unevenly or burning.
Improved feet
Thanks to the special shape of the feet, the Dutch oven stands stable and secure, even on a grill grate. The extra-high design means there is enough space underneath for larger briquettes while still allowing plenty of air to circulate.
Advantages of the protective layer

The small notch in the pot and lid rim can be aligned to create a tiny opening. This allows you to insert a thermometer probe to monitor the core temperature of meat in the pot without fully lifting the lid.
