Product Description
In today’s world the tipi is no longer used as a permanent home – but it has lost none of its magic. A tipi still stands for life in the great outdoors and creates a unique feeling of space, freedom and romance like no other tent.
The magic of a tipi
Although a tipi is no longer a traditional dwelling, its appeal is as strong as ever. More than any other tent style, a tipi brings that simple, back-to-basics way of living, close to the elements and far from everyday stress.
Versatile for every occasion
The skandika Tipi Kota is ideal for families and groups who want to spend time together, whether on a campsite, at a festival or as a fun sleepover and party tent for the kids in the garden.
Generous space
Up to 12 people can roll out their sleeping bags and sleep comfortably in the skandika Tipi Kota. With a diameter of 550 cm and an impressive height of 300 cm, it still feels airy and open even when it’s busy.
Glamping
A tipi is also perfect for glamping – camping with comfort and style. For two people, the Tipi Kota offers ample room for a proper bed or sofa, extra furniture, plants and all your favourite decorations. Add lamps and fairy lights and, at night, the tipi glows like a beautiful oversized lantern.
Ventilation concept
Mesh windows allow plenty of fresh air to circulate, while the opening at the top – protected by a mosquito net and an outer cover – provides classic tipi airflow to keep the interior comfortable.
Bright and protected
Two doors opposite each other make access easy from both sides, and the fully sewn-in groundsheet keeps insects and damp at bay. The mesh windows can be covered from the outside when needed, while additional small plastic windows let in plenty of daylight.
Weather-ready
A strong steel centre pole and durable flysheet with a 3,000 mm waterproof rating, combined with carefully taped seams, make the tent reliably waterproof and stable – even when the wind picks up and the rain moves in.
Easy pitching
With just one central pole, the Tipi Kota is quick and straightforward to pitch, and at only 11.5 kg it is easy to transport. Included are all guy lines and pegs, a carry bag, clear pitching instructions and a repair kit.
The tipi family
The Tipi Kota 550 Protect is also available without a sewn-in groundsheet (Tipi Kota 550), and the skandika tipi family offers a wide range of other tipi models in different sizes and with various features.
